RIOW Aquatics is the event host arm of our organization, with a history of putting on the Around Beavertail Swim, our flagship event and Rhode Island’s only annually held open water marathon swim. In 2026, we held the inaugural Rhody Water Polo Tournament, Rhode Island’s first beach water polo tournament. Our goal is to increase the offering of open water aquatic sports events in the New England area with new and differentiated competitions for athletes to participate in.

RIOW Marine Science uses all net proceeds and fundraising from our events to accept applications for and allocate grants to the local conservation, science, and research community. Our goal is to support researchers, professors, and Masters & PhD students with the funding they need to pursue research, projects, programs, and initiatives of marine conservation.

RIOW Athletes is a sponsored athlete program for those who are both daring and relentless in their pursuits of athletic endeavors, and mission-driven with an interest and passion for marine conservation. Being a RIOW Athlete gives you an opportunity to take on athletic challenges in a way that is much larger than yourself. It also provides you with resources for success, membership in a community of like-minded competitors, and the equipment and merchandise to represent a brand you should feel proud to be a part of.
